October Half Term - Things to do

October half term is nearly here, for me with pre-school children there isn't much change. However for so many of you, I know you have children off school and are juggling childcare and work. Keeping the kids entertained is a must, so I thought I would put together a few ideas of things to do during half term.
1. Play and Learn Ideas
Have you seen our Facebook Group, it's called Play & Learn Ideas from The Wooden Play Den, join up here.
An interactive group to share play ideas for learning and fun. From at home, make your own ideas to the best toys with different ways to play. Why not ask a question if you are looking for something specific.
2. National Trust Days out
The National Trust always arranges great events for kids. This October half term they have Forest Adventures, Wild Afternoon Tea, Apple Days and Family Nature Days. You can find events near you by visiting their website here.
3. Crafts and Games
If the weather turns then indoor activities readily available are always a good option. We have a number of ideas for games and crafts for a range of ages. Here are just a few of our ideas:
