Before becoming a full time mum to two boys, Jenny was a research scientist and then biology teacher at independent boarding schools. She holds a BSc in Cell and molecular biology from the University of York, an MPhil in medical science and a PhD in clinical biochemistry from the University of Cambridge. Jenny is an A Level examiner and in her previous teaching post was head of Able, Gifted and Talented pupils. 

After running a successful handmade clothing business after her first son was born, she decided to combine her love of science education with business and came up with the idea of Little Robin Education, focussing on nature education for children.
