Life in a Lockdown

It's been nearly two weeks since we entered Lockdown and today would have been the start of our Easter School Holidays as we once knew it.

The last two weeks has been a learning curve for the whole family. Trying to keep two chilcren entertained in the house and garden is hard going. Trying to fit in some "school" work, keeping them both happy and not arguing with each other, along with me and my husband both fitting in some work. It's been great to have more time to use our wooden toys and resources and we are slowing getting used to the slower pace. I have enjoyed not being fixed so much by time, being able to get up when we like and not be rushing to school or clubs.

I feel lucky that I can continue to operate with so many retail businesses having to close temporarily. I work on my own, it's just me working in my business, some amazing virtual support, a fantastic Brand Rep team and also my two product testers who are at home with me, I have moved all of my stock to my home address so I can isolate and also continue to send out lots of lovely toys.

I have reduced the number of trips I am making to visit the ladies at the post office. I am now visiting once or twice a week rather than every day, to try and minimise the risk and to keep me and the post office workers safe. I also send Parcels via DPD and my delivery driver is continuing to pick up which is perfect for bigger parcels. Deliveries will be slightly slower due to my reduced posting but also Royal Mail seem to be slower too.

I will continue to share play ideas via my blog and it would be great if you could too. My Facebook Group The Wooden Play Den Community is full of play ideas from my customers and top tips for learning.

I have a little treat for you all - keep a look out over the weekend.
